The cause of the collision was an unsafe turning movement which resulted in the vehicle being driven off the roadway and into a tree.
During the investigation, a loaded .32 caliber pistol and other live ammunition was found inside the vehicle. Jose Ramirez and the passengers, Jesse Jimenez and Joel Sandoval, both 19-year-old residents of Lemoore, and a 17-year-old Hispanic male juvenile from Lemoore were all known by law enforcement to be Norteno criminal street gang members.
Ramirez was booked into the Kings County Jail for being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition and participating in a criminal street gang. His bail was set at $250,000. Jimenez was booked into the Kings County Jail for being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition and participating in a criminal street gang. His bail was set at $250,000.
Sandoval was booked into the Kings County Jail for being in possession of a loaded firearm in a vehicle and participating in a criminal street gang. His bail was set at $75,000.
The Hispanic male juvenile was booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center for being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunitions and participating in a criminal street gang.
