During its investigation, the Lemoore Police Department determined that a red Lexus SUV was being driven east on SR 198 and exited at the South 19th Ave. off-ramp in Lemoore.

When the driver got to the top of the off ramp at South 19th Avenue, he failed to negotiate a turn and crossed through the intersection. The vehicle then went off the west embankment of South 19th Ave. and came to rest in a field below.

The driver and a female passenger were airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno with serious injuries.  Another female passenger sustained major injuries and was transported to Adventist Medical Center. 

She was then transported to C.R.M.C., but ultimately died from her injuries. Lemoore officers are investigating the reason why the driver did not negotiate when he got to the intersection.
