Lemoore’s varsity boys’ water polo team managed to get off to a good start in the West Yosemite League race with a win Tuesday against Hanford West High School. The Tigers have been dominant in their pre-season campaign and hope to continue the effort in league play.

Led by Spencer Stinger’s six goals, the Tigers led 14-3 at the half and settled for a 21-9 victory. Also scoring goals for Lemoore were Peter Castro and Jake Hansen with three each and Nate Olson, Cameron Olson, Calvin Rhoades and Ethan Barnhart with two each.

In the girls’ game the Tigers dropped a 15-6 decision.
