Dr. Verioti is now a member of Adventist Health Physicians Network in Hanford. He’s caring for patients with shoulder, elbow and knee injuries; knee ligament tears and cartilage injuries, among others.

He completed his fellowship in July at Atlanta Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center, where he worked with the Atlanta Braves.

“I conducted spring training physicals and regular season physicals for the draft class of 2015,” he says. “I also attended home games and cared for the players’ injuries before, during and after games.”

During his residency, Dr. Verioti cared for players from Philadelphia Soul of Professional Arena League Football and the Michigan Warriors in the North American Hockey League.

“It’s great to see players get back to the game following an injury,” he says. “To see them rejoin their teammates and get back to the game they love are the most rewarding parts of the job.”

Dr. Verioti played football himself and ran track at Boston College, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in biology. He went on to earn his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also completed his residency.

Dr. Verioti says Hanford reminds him of the small town where he grew up, Warren, Ohio.

 “I’ve been on the road for 15 years, visiting big cities, so it feels good to get back to the roots and small-town feel,” he says.
