Where did a contingent of Lemoore High School NJROTC cadets spend the weekend? In Provo, Utah of course. Doesn’t everybody? The fact of the matter is the group of four cadets – Jacky Domingo, Aaron Dorfmeier, Daimian Guzman and Thomas Snell - left Lemoore Thursday for the crisp, clean air of Provo, Utah to compete in 2016 NJROTC Regional Air Rifle Competition, a contest that took the entire weekend.

Lemoore was one of several schools from as far away as Alaska to New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Washington, Wyoming and Oregon to compete in the prestigious event.

Lemoore’s top shooter was Aaron Dorfmeier, who placed 7th out of all the Navy ROTC shooters on the west coast. Dorfmeier earned a spot in the Sunday finals thanks to his pinpoint shooting. Only the top eight shooters earned a shot at the finals.
