Lemoore’s talented boys’ tennis team continued its winning ways, beating Hanford West in the Tigers’ first West Yosemite League match Thursday, 6-3.

The teams were tied 3-3 after singles play during which Lemoore’s Mike Sinaga defeated Jose Ramos 6-1, 6-0 in No. 1 singles’ action. But Lemoore then fell in No. 2 and No. 3 singles in straight sets. The Tigers dropped their 4th singles match in a tie break, but Adrian Zamora reversed the losing trend and won at 5th singles.

Spencer Denney won in a 6-4, 3-6 (10-6) tiebreaker in the 6th singles match, which set up the Tigers’ doubles play, with Mitchell Foote and Cha Cho Martinez winning easily 8-4 in a smash fest.

Mike Sinaga and Arnold Cabuhat teamed to win 1st doubles, 8-3, to secure the victory for the Tigers.  The No. 2 doubles team of Drew Gobby and Adrian Zamora went on to beat Hanford West 8-6 in their match to add to the victory.

Lemoore also won the JV match 4-1 with solid play from their singles players Vincent Cam and Earl Magno.  Lemoore will play Redwood at home Monday and travel to Golden West Wednesday next week.
