The Arbor, used for events ranging from a farmers’ market site to Friday night dances, was paid for in five annual payments.
Tuesday’s payment marked the close of the commitment by the club in sponsoring several public works projects stretching from Fox Street at the San Joaquin Railway crossing Skateboard Park along the full block ending at the Arbor. The check, written by Rotary treasurer Natalie Siegel, was for $2,027.
Welch thanked Rotary and noted how groups help the city facilitate improvements in services by saying, “We appreciate all that Rotary does for our community!”
The library book, signed by the club’s guest, is donated to one of Lemoore’s elementary school libraries when a Rotary member reads to 3rd graders in the on-going literary program.
