Registration is still open for West Hills College’s inaugural car show, which will be held at West Hills College Coalinga on Sept. 10. Business sponsorships ranging from $250 to $1000 are also being offered and donations for a raffle and gift bags are being accepted.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the President’s Scholars Program, a scholarship program which provides free tuition and $250 per semester for books to students across the West Hills Community College District.

Street rods, hot rods, low riders, stock and modified cars, pick-ups and motorcycles are welcome. The sign-up fee is $25. Registration will also be available on the day of the show for $30.

“We’re excited about this event,” said Ken Stoppenbrink, Deputy Chancellor of the West Hills Community College District and event co-chair. “It’s a great way to involve the community and support the President’s Scholars Program.”

Admission for spectators is free and food and beverages will be available. The cars will be displayed along Elm Street in front of the athletic field. KISS Country radio will also be broadcasting from the event this year.
