The winning design was presented to Lemoore councilmembers at their regular meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 16.
“Water division employees created, drafted and presented the idea to management,” stated City of Lemoore Public Works Director Nathan Olson. “The city was excited to see the employee engagement and got behind the idea.”
The end result was “AquaBob,” Lemoore’s new water mascot, designed and created by Lemoore Kings Christian School sixth-grade student Jenna Nickells. Jenna is also a Community Services Summer Day Camper too.”
In addition to plenty of recognition, Nickells earned a special certificate and movie passes for her family.
AquaBob will be doing outreach at the schools and at events throughout the year. A web site dedicated to water conservation will be rolled out in the near future
