This year is shaping up to be one of those rebuilding years for the Lemoore High School varsity football team. The Tigers seem to be feeling the wrath of inexperience as Sanger took it to Lemoore Friday night in Tom Flores Stadium 55-14.

Football Schedule

The loss dropped Lemoore to 0-3 as it hopes to rebound this Friday against Redwood in the West Yosemite League opener for both teams. The Rangers might prove formidable as they gear up for a bit of revenge against a team that has beaten them badly the last few years, including last year’s 41-6 Tiger victory that led to another league title for Lemoore.

Redwood is 4-0 going into Friday night’s game. On Friday the Rangers hung on to defeat Tulare Western 27-26.

On Friday, the Apaches were all over the Tigers from the outset, jumping to a 21-0 first quarter lead and then scored 27 more points in the second quarter for a 48-0 halftime lead. Sanger added a third quarter score, and the Tigers scored twice in the second half to account for the final margin.
