The Lemoore Chamber of Commerce announced Monday night that longtime Lemoore High School Superintendent Bill Black, the popular local business, Family Eye Care, and the Lemoore Police Department – with its numerous community outreach programs – will be honored at January’s 59th Annual Chamber of Commerce Installation and Awards Banquet.

The annual banquet, where a “citizen” is honored for his or her service to the community, will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino.

Black, the longtime superintendent, will be honored as the 2016 Lemoore “Citizen of the Year.” Family Eye Care was named the 2016 Lemoore “Business of the Year,” and the Lemoore Police Department will be named the 2016 Lemoore “Organization of the Year,” for its numerous community outreach programs.

All honorees are chosen by a selection committee composed of previous honorees.

Table sponsorships are available at no charge for all of those wishing to promote their business or organization and to show their support.

Reservations must be made ahead of time by calling the Lemoore Chamber at 559-924-6401, and tickets will be limited.  Paid reservations received by January 6 are $55 per person, or a table for 10 for is $500.  Reservations made after January 9 will be $65 per person.  No tickets will be available at the door. 

In addition to honoring this year’s Citizen, Business and Organization, the evening will also include hors d'oeuvres, and dinner.  Socializing begins at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The awards program will follow at 8 p.m.
