The Lemoore squad competed against 12 other NJROTC units from all areas of California. The Lemoore team took first place with a combined score of 2,099 as LHS marksmen hit on 51 bullseyes, finishing ahead of second-place Westview High School by just one point.
Lemoore’s top shooter was Aaron Dorfmeier who placed second out of 72 shooters that entered in the competition. Other shooters on the Lemoore High team include Alex Chavez, Xristina Quirezhernandez, Aurora Johnson, Brandon Pridgen, Emily Williams, Thomas Snell, and Angelo Sangerman.
Thanks to Lemoore’s accuracy, the NJROTC marksmanship team earned a spot in the annual Crosman Challenge, an NJROTC marksmanship event to be held Dec. 26 thru Dec. 30 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
