Lemoore’s talented wrestling team will win at least a share of the West Yosemite League championship when it takes a 6-0 regular season campaign into Thursday’s (Feb. 9) league championships in the Lemoore Event Center.

The Tigers remained unbeaten by winning their final two matches, a 44-36 nail biter over Hanford and an easy 59-12 victory against Hanford West.

The Tigers are looking for their 21st WYL championship in 23 years, and the Tigers have the muscle to pull it off, starting with the state’s top 132-pound athlete, Gary Joint, who won both his matches last week.

Other wins came from senior Angel Solis, Greg Guzman, Jacob Gonsalves, Manny Colin, Joe Romero, Sabien Jones, and Alec Perez.
