The Huskies then returned the favor on Friday, beating the Tigers by a similar 2-0 score. Hanford West pitching allowed the Tigers just four hits. The Tigers play all their WYL opponents in back-to-back games. The Tigers hope to rebound with a non-league game against Fowler in Lemoore on Tuesday (March 28) and another home contest against McLane on Thursday.
The Tigers resume WYL action with an April 5 game against Redwood.
Junior Sanchez turned in a gem for the Tigers, tossing the WYL shutout opener and allowing just seven hits. Lemoore improved to fell to 1-1 in league play following Friday's loss.
Jared Holaday led off the fourth inning with a triple and then scored on a single for the first of two runs in the inning, all they would need to beat the Huskies.
