Lemoore’s varsity vaulters and jumpers continued to perform well, as did the frosh-soph girls’ team.
Lemoore’s Nathan Burd won the 1600 meters in 4:51.29, one of the few Tigers to win Wednesday afternoon in Tiger Stadium. Tiger strongman Noah Wright took top honors in the shotput with a toss of 45-4 to easily win.

Max Tashima continued his winning ways, taking the top spot in the high jump. He went 5-10 to win. He also finished second in the long jump at 18-05.50. Lemoore had three pole vaulters in the top five as Brian Irineo took top honors, tying with Hanford West’s Dawson Cady 11-6. Lemoore’s Aidan Ecker and Noa Young finished in the third spot.
Ryan White won the frosh-soph pole vault with his leap at 10 feet.
In the triple jump, the top three places were taken by Tigers as Christian Irineo took first place with a 36-10 effort. Amier Hollis and Aidan Ecker finished second and third respectively.
In the varsity girls’ competition, Iyahna Jones took second in the100 meters and third in the 200 meters. Azalea Johnson-Neal took third in the 200. Neal also took second in the 400 meters. Guadalupe Lopez and Jennifer Dolores were second and third in the 3200 meters while Paige Wheeler and Abigail Barrera were second and third in the 100-meter hurdles. The two speedsters were second and third in the 300 hurdles as well.
The Tigers will host the annual Kiwanis Track and Field Invitational Friday night (April 7) in Tiger Stadium, beginning at 4 p.m.
