Lemoore is 11-8 overall and 1-3 in the demanding West Yosemite League. The Tigers were scheduled to play Clovis North High School today (April 11) at 2 p.m. and later against an undetermined opponent at 4:30 p.m.
Against Central High in the opener on Monday, the Tigers were tied going into the fourth inning when Susannah Campos and Katelyn Cole stroked RBIs to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead. But Central stormed back in its half of the inning, scoring nine times to take a 9-2 lead. Central scored three more times in the fifth.
Ashtyn Lucas took the loss for the Tigers. She allowed six hits and struck out three.
In the late game on Monday, Lemoore’s bats came alive, seven different players had hits. Madison Wallace led the way with two hits, two RBI and two runs scored as the Tigers beat El Diamante 8-4. The Tigers were behind in the early stages 4-1 when they put together a run in the fourth and three more in the fifth to take the lead.
