Lemoore’s solid effort to capture a Central Section team tennis title ended abruptly on Thursday with a 3-6 loss to the section’s top seed, Central Valley Christian. However, Lemoore will continue in doubles play as Spencer Denney and Drew Gobby continued their superb doubles play, winning 7-6 (7-1), 6-4.

Gobby and Denney also won singles matches to provide Lemoore with its three victories on the day against CVC.

The duo will continue play and seek a Central Section doubles title when they compete today (May 12) and tomorrow at Mission Oak High School in Visalia.

Denney won his singles match, beating Canon Hansen 6-2, 6-2 while Gobby beat Coby Thomas 6-2, 6-4.
