Lemoore University Charter School, located on the campus of West Hills College Lemoore, recently completed a pet food drive to collect food for the Stonecliffe Animal Rescue, a local agency designed for homeless and abandoned pets.

The drive, conducted by the Charter School’s ASB club, brought in over 300 pounds of food and an assortment of toys for the animals.  Victoria Gonzales, the student body president, said she really enjoyed leading this drive and helping animals. She is proud of her school and what they accomplished.

Kristine Rhoads, a charter school teacher and ASB advisor, said she plans on continuing this charity drive each year with hopes of encouraging other schools in the Lemoore School District to take part.

Stonecliffe Animal Rescue, located in Lemoore, is a nonprofit, no kill shelter for homeless and abandoned pets. The website for anyone interested in adopting a pet or donating to this charity is https://www.stoneclifferescue.org/donate.
