The City has been a longtime supporter of Neighborhood Watch, a national program started in 1984 by the National Association of Town Watch. It began with neighbors turning on their porch lights and sitting in front of their homes. National Night Out has grown dramatically over the years, including nearly 38 million residents in 20,000 communities across the United States.
Over the years Lemoore has benefitted from a thriving Neighborhood Watch program.
The program is meant to increase awareness about the police programs in communities, such as drug prevention, town watch, neighborhood watch and other anti-crime efforts.
