One of Lemoore’s most notable athletes has won another world championship, 14 years after he won his first. Jeff Fabry, who competed in the Paralympic games just last year, won his fourth world title at the 2017 World Archery Para Championships on Saturday, taking gold in the W1 recurve open men’s competition in Beijing, China.

He arrived home on Tuesday. His wife, Crystal, and friends surprised him at the airport according to his Facebook page.

Fabry, a gold medalist at the 2012 Olympics, narrowly defeated Turkey’s Omer Asik to win 132-131 in Beijing last week.

Fabry is a four-time Paralympian starting in Athens in 2004 where he won two bronze medals. He won another bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games.
