Indalecia Doria of Lemoore, born May 15, 1932, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 24, at the age of 85.

Indalecia was born in Urdaneta, the Philippines where she grew up. She went to Pacifica College and became a teacher. She met Jose Doria, who was in the navy, and they got married in 1961.

In 1964 they moved to the United States and were stationed in Fallon, NV, Norfolk, VA, Ewa Beach, HI and then NAS Lemoore in 1977. Indalecia worked at Candlewick Yarns until it closed then went to work at Catalina Sewing in Hanford until she retired.

She loved to go fishing with her husband Jose, dancing, sewing, and crocheting. She enjoyed cooking, and everyone’s favorites were her pancit and lumpia. She really loved spending time and being with her granddaughter Elizabeth. Indalecia was an active member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Fil-Am Association.

Indalecia is survived by her son, Herb, and his wife Denise Doria of Lemoore; daughter, Josie Doria-Parks of Clovis; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Doria of Lemoore; two sisters: Maxina Otriz of Hayward and Doray Taaca of the Philippines, along with numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jose Doria and her grandson Joseph Doria.

Private services will be held. Friends who wish can make donations in Indalecia’s memory to the St. Peter’s Improvement Fund, 870 N. Lemoore Ave., Lemoore, CA 93245 or to the American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw Ave., #201, Fresno, CA 93711. Arrangements are under the direction of Phipps-Dale Funeral in Lemoore.
