Lemoore police put in plenty of overtime to catch up with May 2017 murder suspect

The Lemoore Police Department made an arrest July 6, the result of a May 2017 murder investigation. At about 2 p.m. on Friday, Lemoore officers arrested a 16-year-old juvenile suspect in connection with the year-long case.

Police transported the suspect to the Kings County Juvenile Center where he was booked on one count of homicide.

It was in May 2017 that the homicide investigation began into the murder of a 16-year-old male. Officers were initially dispatched to an apartment on East Hanford Armona Road where they found a subject suffering from a stab wound. When they arrived on the scene, they found the black male juvenile in a bedroom. Life-saving efforts began, and the victim was transported to Adventist Medical Center in Hanford where he was pronounced dead.

According to police officials, the arrest comes on the heels of numerous manpower hours investigating the incident with the cooperation of the victim’s family.
