Four Kings County residents were arrested following a probation search on Thursday, July 26. After the search, conducted by personnel from the Kings County Narcotics Task Force, Kings County Gang Task Force, sheriff’s department ag detectives and probation officers, the law enforcement officers discovered and seized a functioning and active butane honey oil (BHO) lab on the property.

The local law enforcement agencies called for help in the form of the California Department of Justice High Impact Investigation team (HIIT) and its laboratory team to render the lab safe and properly dispose of any hazardous chemicals and materials.

Investigators also discovered and seized methamphetamine, honey oil, over fifty pounds of marijuana, several firearms and a significant amount of ammunition during the search of the residence. Sheriffs' deputies made four arrests following the investigation.

Arrested were suspects Coleton Jack Cason, Edwin John Dias, Kimberly Susan Dias and Madison Lambeth Wright. All four were all booked into the Kings County Jail on numerous narcotic and firearms charges. Due to the serious nature of the charges the bail amount was set at over $500,000 each.

According to local law enforcement officials, BHO labs pose a danger to everyone in the community.  The potential for injury to the public, public safety personnel and the damage or loss of property as a result of a BHO explosion is significant.  Law enforcement personnel with specialized training and equipment are needed to investigate and render the area safe.
