This year’s featured speaker is a breast cancer survivor and Fresno County Sheriff, Margaret Mims, who became an outspoken advocate for early detection when she was diagnosed in 2008. Also speaking will be Andrea Kofl, the president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley, who lost her mother to breast cancer.
Participants will hear survivor stories, updates on the expansion of the Adventist Health Hanford Breast Care Center and have an opportunity to tour a mobile mammogram unit that has become instrumental in helping women who live in rural areas gain easy access to screenings. The unit will be parked outside of the Hanford Civic Auditorium for people to tour, following the lunch.
Everyone who attends will receive a gift and be entered to win prizes.
