What is Operation Gobble? Simply put, it’s an effort to distribute turkeys to families in need at various locations throughout Kings County.

This week, Adventist Health hosted Kings County Supervisor Richard Valle and Assemblyman Rudy Salas’ Operation Gobble Turkey Giveaway in Hanford. The joint effort gave out over 250 turkeys at the Adventist Health Clinic in the Home Garden Area of Hanford Monday afternoon (Nov. 19).

Home Garden wasn’t the only local community to benefit. Nearly 1,000 turkeys were handed out in Avenal, Corcoran, Kettleman City, and Stratford this week. Pumpkin pies were also distributed.

Helping to hand out the turkeys and pies were members of the Kings County Sheriffs Department and Adventist Health employees.
