The Tigers earned a home game by virtue of its stellar 8-2 WYL record, an impressive statistic they embellished with a thrilling 3-2 league-ending victory over Hanford Wednesday night in Tiger Stadium.
Armondo Salinas scored the Tigers first goal in the opening frame while Jackson Fagundes scored a second. A Hanford mistake led to the Tigers third and final goal in the second stanza.
“Expectations are that we will be no lower than a four seed meaning that we should book a spot in the semi-finals if the seeding holds to form,” said Tiger Coach Eric Bow who led his team to a second-place finish in the WYL, just half a game behind league leader Golden West. The Trailblazers finished atop the WYL with an 8-1-1 record. “
Bow said this year was exciting for his team, a squad that 14-5-2 overall. “It’s fun to be in the mix for a league title to the very last game. The boys did a marvelous job,” said Bow.
