It’s back to Alabama next month to compete against all of the Air Force, Army, Marine, and Navy JROTC shooters in the United States.
Earlier this year he won the Area-11 NJROTC championships to earn a trip to Alabama Feb. 7-9. The Area-11 championships involved 54 JROTC units.
To qualify to compete in Alabama Wilkins shot a 94.5% average in the prone position, an 84.5% average in the standing or offhand position, and a 91.5% average in the kneeling position, totaling 540 out of 600 possible points. :
William’s plans after graduating from Lemoore High School this summer is to attend the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
