The Wonderful College Prep Academy and Fresno Christian finished tied for the top spot with 9-1 records while Kings Christian finished third.
Leading this year’s Crusader charge was sophomore Laci Rose, a talented young lady who, in just 18 games, managed to lead the league in scoring, including finishing second in 3-point baskets. Rose led all league foes with 17.9 points per game average, scoring 323 points in all.
She also finished in the top 15 in the CIF Central Section in scoring and led the ESL in steals.
“She’s so good,” said Kings Christian Assistant Coach Tarah Pires. “She’s so easy to coach. She makes it fun, and she’s a good student too. She’s the kind of player who you could put her in any position. She’s so flexible.”
Her teammates didn’t fare too poorly either. Senior Zoe Bryan was seventh in scoring at 8.7 points per game while senior Rebekah Sills had 7.2 points per game average for the Crusaders.
For her efforts, Rose earned a spot on the East Sierra League All-League First Team. Her teammates, Bryan and Sills, earned second-team spots.
