Lemoore High School’s choral program spent a day at Disneyland this past weekend (April 6) but it wasn’t just to shake hands with Mickey Mouse, climb the Matterhorn, or take a short but thrilling cruise with the “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Instead, led by longtime choral director, Dorie Talob, her talented troupe of singers participated in the theme park’s annual Music in the Parks Festival and walked away – or sang away – with a handful of first-place hardware.

Competing against schools from Arizona, Nevada and California, Lemoore’s women’s choir, men’s choir, and chamber singers all received unanimous superior ratings and all three won top honors on Saturday.
