Local Lemoore Library users, in addition to their attendance at the Kings County Library’s bi-annual book sale, also received a tour of a proposed new library space recently vacated by the Kings County Grand Jury, which used the space for local meetings.

Plans are underway to expand the Lemoore Branch of the Kings County Library, and visitors to Saturday’s (Oct. 12) used book sale also toured learned of the proposed expansion plans. The tours coincided with the Friends of the Kings County Library Used Book Sale, held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The 20-minute tours were scheduled for every half hour beginning at 10 a.m. The Library is at 457 C Street in Lemoore. Kings County Library Director Natalie Rencher conducted the tours of the new library space. The new addition will double the size of the existing Lemoore library.

Friends of the Kings County Library is a nonprofit community benefit organization made up of volunteers who serve as ambassadors, advocates, and fundraisers for the Libraries.  They conduct used book sales and act as hosts at Library events.  To learn more about the Friends, please call 559-362-1254.
