Police respond to report that Middle College student carrying weapon

A Lemoore Middle School College student was taken into custody today (Oct. 14) by Lemoore police officers for carrying an unloaded firearm in his school backpack.

It was about 8:45 a.m. that Lemoore officers arrived at the Lemoore Middle School College – located on the West Hills College Lemoore campus – regarding a student who may have been in possession of a firearm.

When the officers arrived, they contacted the juvenile, found a weapon in his backpack, and took him into custody. Police ask that if anyone has information regarding this incident, that he or she call the Lemoore Police Department at 559-924-9574.
