Both Sanchez and Wiley led the Tigers in scoring. Sanchez scored at a 14.21 clip while Wiley tossed in 11.8 points per game in the Tigers’ successful season.
In boys’ basketball, a trio of Tigers earned top spots in league play, including first-teamer Will Schalde and second-teamers, Beunju Moon and Chris Taylor. The Tigers completed an 8-19 overall season and were 4-6 in the WYL.
Schalde, a senior first-teamer, scored 10.5 points per game while posting team-high 9.7 rebounds per game. Taylor, also a senior, was the Team’s leading scorer with 11.8 points per game. Moon, a sophomore, scored at 8.8 points per game clip for the Tigers.
Vasquez’s girls’ Team stood out in the league this year, compiling a 7-3 record to finish behind league champion Hanford High School.
Golden West’s Indya Smith, was named the league’s Most Valuable Player.
