Social distancing, as recommended by state and federal agencies, is truly the best way for our community to slow the spread of this virus and prevent unnecessary illness. All individuals should avoid contact with others wherever possible and wash hands or use hand sanitizer after contact with others outside their home. If you are 65 or older, immunocompromised, or have contact with someone who is immunocompromised, or if you are in another high-risk category, it is critical that you stay home and away from others. This includes going to a routine doctor or dentist appointment, such as teeth cleaning, a medication refill, or annual checkups. Our clinics are prepared to help you decide whether you should plan to come in for a scheduled appointment or reschedule. We also have prepared virtual and telephone capabilities to ensure that your medications can be filled and other needs can be addressed.
Our clinics remain openĀ and are still accepting walk-in or urgent care visits. To ensure excellent patient care, we will be rescheduling routine, non-urgent appointments. If you are home and experiencing coronavirus-like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath) and have been in contact with someone who likely has an active coronavirus infection, we encourage you to call your primary care physician or clinic before coming. If clinically necessary, your primary care physician or clinic will give you instructions on how to get tested in order to limit the risk of exposure to other people.
To support our patients, visitors, and communities, Adventist Health has established a coronavirus advice line staffed by associates and clinicians to answer any questions you have. The advice line is available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. PDT, Monday through Friday, by calling 844-542-8840. You can find more information on our Adventist Health website. The CDC is also closely monitoring the situation and posting updates and guidelines on the CDC website.
Thank you for placing your care in our hands.
Sincerely,
