West Hills College District Board approves COVID-19 Emergency Plan Resolution

West Hills Community College District Board of Trustees unanimously approved an emergency measure on Tuesday, March 17 that provides Chancellor Stuart Van Horn with additional authority to help the district and its colleges continue to provide educational services to students, primarily through online delivery, during the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.

The measure provides the chancellor with direction to take all appropriate actions to allow the continued education of West Hills College students during the period of emergency proclaimed by Gov. Gavin Newsom earlier this month.

WHCCD is working closely with the health departments in Fresno and Kings Counties as well as with the California Department of Public Health to mitigate the COVID-19 outbreak within its service area.

West Hills will shift to an expanded delivery of online instruction by Wednesday, March 18.
