The exposure of the nine additional cases is still under investigation. Two cases are being treated in isolation and all other cases have been quarantined. The below list depicts the current situation in Kings County:
KCDPH is currently conducting communicable disease investigations to identify any persons who may have had close personal contact with these individuals, including any friends, family members, or health care professionals, to assess and monitor them for signs and symptoms of illness. Due to privacy laws, no specific information regarding any of the 96 cases can be shared with the public.
California Update
As of April 29, California health officials report that the state now has 46,500 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 1,887 deaths. Local health departments also report that as of April 29, their departments have reported 5,015 confirmed positive cases in health care workers and 24 deaths statewide. More than 603,139 tests have been given in California.
