KCDPH has determined that three of the ew cases contracted the disease through close contact with a confirmed case. The exposure of the additional 12 cases is still under investigation. Of the total active cases, 15 are being treated in isolation, and all others have been quarantined.

KCDPH is currently conducting communicable disease investigations to identify any persons who may have had close personal contact with these individuals, including any friends, family members, or health care professionals, to assess and monitor them for signs and symptoms of illness.
As of June 1, the California Department of Public Health is reporting 113,006 cases of COVID-19 in the state and 4,251 fatalities. Also, health officials report that 2,012,583 tests have been administered to date.
