On Thursday, workers were hard at it, demolishing the existing home economics building in the heart of the campus, and later this month, workers are expected to begin removing the historic small gym, which has been around since the construction of the original high school.
Both are projects that are part of the 2016 $24 million bond measure that voters approved to fund construction at Lemoore High School.
“Jamison is all torn up too,” said Lemoore High School District Superintendent Debbie Muro. “They’re getting a new multipurpose room and new office.”
The district has already completed several projects, including a facelift for Tiger Stadium, including a new press box, snack bar, restrooms, and an athletic building. The school’s swimming pool was renovated recently, and the school’s agriculture farm received some updates.
