Central Valley Rep. TJ Cox voted this week to pass H.R. 2, the Moving Forward Act, which he expects to bring huge investments in American infrastructure and create millions of jobs. The $1.5 trillion proposal is designed to help rebuild American communities with infrastructure that is smarter, safer, and built to last.

 The Moving Forward Act authorizes two pieces of legislation introduced by Cox that would ensure federal funding gets back to the Central Valley to repair and improve water infrastructure.  

“I was proud to join my colleagues today to pass the Moving Forward Act, the largest infrastructure package in a generation. I am especially proud that the package included two water priorities for the Central Valley that will help hardworking families get access to cleaner drinking water and fix the Friant-Kern Canal. This legislation is important for the entire nation to fix crumbling infrastructure and help rebuild communities from coast to coast,” said Cox “I call on my colleagues in the Senate to work with us to pass this key piece of legislation without delay so we can get to work rebuilding this country.”
