The folks at Reestablishing Stratford took another crack at cleaning up a local unwanted dumpsite outside of Stratford this past week when the local community-based organization focused on cleaning up metal-based waste.

The waste included such items as appliances and miscellaneous metal.

Earlier this year five members of the local organization, a local non-profit agency boosting the small community south of Lemoore, removed about 12,000 pounds of trash from the landed owned by the unincorporated community.

The dumpsite is located at the intersection of Lincoln and 20th avenues, along a canal band. The site has been an unwanted dumping ground in recent years.

The group eliminated two bins full of metal waste. The next cleanup effort the group will address focus on the remaining non-metal waste and disposal of tires.
