Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department plans to celebrate 100 years and counting

The Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department has been around for 100 years? Yes, that’s right, and local fire department volunteers will celebrate that fact on July 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Veterans Park (corner of Bush and Fox Street).

Opening ceremonies and honors will begin at 10:30 a.m. The special event is sponsored by Leprino Foods, Natural Healing Center, and the Lemoore Parks and Recreation Department.

The free family event will feature a hose lay, bucket brigade, barrel fights, and other live competitions. There will also be fire engine rides, water slides, free hot dogs, and water. Bring your own chair, though, for fun.
