Lemoore Police Officers on Saturday, July 10, at about 4:40 p.m., responded to a report of a male victim that had been shot in a vehicle.  Officers and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and declared the male, 34-year-old Terry Michael Ryan Jr., deceased at the scene.

The scene was turned over to the Lemoore Police Department Investigations Unit and officers were assisted by the Kings County Major Crimes Task Force (KCMCTF).

The investigation revealed that the victim had been pursued by a dark-colored SUV and that the driver of the SUV shot at the victim while pursuing him in the vehicle. Investigators identified the suspect as Jose Immanuel Paez (36) out of Clovis.

On July 11, at 7:49 a.m. Lemoore Police Detectives and KCMCTF tracked Paez to the City of Kerman and arrested him. Paez was in possession of a loaded firearm and was booked at the Kings County Jail for PC 187- Murder. He also faces the following charges:
