On Tuesday, July 13, at about 8:30 p.m., a Kings County deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 BMW near Hanford Armona Road and Jones Street in Hanford.

The deputy determined that two occupants were on active Kings County probation and subject to search by a peace officer.

During a search of the car over, the deputy found half a pound of methamphetamines. It was determined the drugs belonged to one of the passengers, Christian Velazquez, who was subsequently placed into custody.
