There will be times when the exercise will cause increased traffic around NAS Lemoore or delays in installation access. Area residents may also see or hear security activities associated with the exercise.

This annual force protection exercise is focused on simulating real-world, emergency situations. Those involved in the exercises – from Security and the Federal Fire Department to the Emergency Operations Center – will be expected to respond exactly how they would if the simulations were real. This allows them to be exposed to the stress and rigors of how these kind of events unfold and helps them to hone their skills, so when the unthinkable happens, they will be able to respond quickly, efficiently, and appropriately.

NAS Lemoore Commanding Officer CAPT Douglas M. Peterson said,

Peterson. “This exercise gives our personnel the ability to maintain the highest level of readiness and to respond swiftly and skillfully to ever-changing threats. Although Navy security forces train 365 days a year, this exercise provides the opportunity for dedicated training and a renewed focus on the force protection mission.
