The talented chef opened his fourth restaurant, the latest in the vibrant coastal community, and just a few days ago Law and his many friends celebrated the grand opening of his 201 Kitchen SLO, located on picturesque and vibrant downtown Higuera St.
The classy eatery, located at 857 Higuera, even got a visit from San Luis Obispo’s mayor, Erica Stewart, who delivered a hearty welcome and presented a special proclamation to Law on his opening day.
The Canton, China native, who lived and attended school in Hong Kong, migrated to America to join most of his family in 1987 and devoted his professional life to the art of Japanese cuisine.
Law, who studied at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), simply says he likes to cook and does he ever. He currently operates three restaurants in Lemoore and Hanford. His flagship, The Sushi Table, is located in Lemoore’s Save Mart Center.
He also operates 201 Kitchen, located in the Costco Shopping Center as well as Bobo Island, across the street from the Stadium Cinemas.
In a previous article, Law called his favorite cuisine his world of flavors. “I liked to cook. I like to eat, and I like food,” he said, delivering a mantra that sums up his professional life.
He’s going to have a lot of commuting, but who wouldn’t like a day trip or weekend in San Luis Obispo while at the same time tasting some of the best sushi this side of the Pacific Ocean.
