Lemoore High School Performance Studies program takes on ambitious "Mamma Mia," popular musical inspired by ABBA

Music lovers may not want to miss the final two nights of Lemoore High School’s ambitious Spring Play, Mamma Mia, a popular musical inspired by the creators of the musical group ABBA.

Showtimes for Thursday, March 31, and Friday, April 1 are at 6:30 p.m. General admission is $12, and for children – 12 and under – the cost is $8.

The musical opened Wednesday in the school’s auditorium. According to advisor Amy Moreau-Ecker, it may be one of the school’s most ambitious musicals featuring a cast of 24 and an additional 39 students helping out with the production.

Senior A’anna Taylor tackles the lead role of Donna. Her Dynamos are played by senior Xiomara Siguenza and junior Yadhira Carillo.

The beloved role of Sophie is played by junior Sarah Raber, and the three Dads are portrayed by seniors Hector De Santiago, Robert Mangahas, and Gabriel Gonzalez.
