Kings County Sheriff David Robinson welcomed staff and public members to the new Kings County Sheriff's Office headquarters in an Open House on Aug. 5. The public and others had a unique opportunity to tour the new headquarters.

According to sheriff's department officials, The new building will be home to multiple divisions, including patrol, investigations, civil, and records. The new facility replaces the old headquarters built in 1964, so our new digs were long overdue.

Kings County Sheriff Dave Robinson and Assemblyman Rudy Salas worked tirelessly to secure the funding for this building. Department officials also thanked Kings County Assistant Sheriff Dave Putnam for spearheading this project and seeing it to completion. Sergeant Kevin Smyres received kudos for helping to create the KCSO Museum.
