Lemoore’s varsity volleyball ladies are hitting the ball well, particularly Tuesday night in the LHS Event Center, where they easily got past visiting Mt. Whitney in straight sets, 3-0. After dropping their second game to Hanford West on August 23, Lemoore rolled off seven straight wins before losing to Sanger in a tournament.
The Tigers opened the three-set match with a 25-12 victory and followed up with a 25-7 win and a 25-17 closer. At one point in the opening stages of the season, the Tigers went 8-1, looking impressive against some solid teams.
Lemoore’s next contest is at the Visalia Tournament, where it opens on Friday against Reedley High School. Lemoore’s next home contest is on Sept. 20 as Tulare Union visits the Lemoore High School Event Center for a 6:30 p.m. match.
