Just two weeks after losing their first game, a 40-14 loss to powerful Clovis West, Lemoore's varsity football team seems to be on yet another roll after crushing visiting South High 54-0 in the friendly confines of Tiger Stadium Friday night.

The Tigers' latest effort sends a strong message to the Tigers' next opponent, Tulare Union, who will visit Tiger Stadium on Friday night, hoping to slow down the resurgent Lemoore squad. Tulare, nicknamed The Tribe, is off to a slow start, winning just once in five tries.

Lemoore had the game against South High in the bag in the first quarter, scoring twice for a 13-lead. An Andrew Moench five-yard touchdown put the Tigers ahead for good. Still in the first, Tiger quarterback Ty Chambers connected with Kobe Green for a touchdown and a 13-0 first-quarter advantage.

Still, in the second quarter, Spencer Silva scored on a 13-yard run, and Chambers followed it up with a two-point conversion to Demel Turner for a 27-0 lead in the second.

The Tigers didn't let up in the first half, finishing with a 40-0 first-half effort. The Tigers scored twice in the second half to completely subdue the visiting Spartans.
