Lemoore High hoops kicks off season with Nov. 26 alumni game

Lemoore High School’s basketball program and its coach, Joel Sligh, are about to kick off its basketball season, and in an effort to celebrate past players, will host an alumni game on Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. in the school’s event center.

The cost to watch the game featuring past years' players is $5. There will be concessions open.

The varsity boys’ team will kick off its regular season on Nov. 17 with a game at Hanford West scheduled for 6:30 p.m. The next regular season contest is Dec. 7, a home contest against Justin Garza High School (6:30 p.m.), and then on Dec. 13, Lemoore will host El Diamante in a 7:30 p.m. contest.

Lemoore will participate in tournament action from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3.

Lemoore was 17-10 a year ago and 7-3 in the West Yosemite League.

The Lemoore girls’ varsity team has scheduled a home game with Hanford West on November 17 and will travel to Sierra Pacific for a 6:30 p.m. game on November 22.
