Lemoore police respond quickly to possible threat at WHC Lemoore. No threats found

Lemoore Police Department officers, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, at about 4:46 p.m., quickly responded to West Hills College Lemoore after a report that someone was making threats to shoot a student.

On the basis of the report, law enforcement and school officials placed the campus on lockdown while police officers conducted a search for the alleged suspect. 

Local police reported that they found no unusual activity during the search, and no active threat was identified. Police determined that the subject was not on campus or within the city limits of Lemoore, and there was no weapon or threat to students or staff.

School administrators say that “out of caution,” evening classes were canceled. Normal campus activity resumed on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 8 a.m.
